IMPRISONED

Police in the village of Kamako in the central Western Kasaï province arrested Muela, the host of a call-in program on private Radio Arc-En-Ciel, as he walked home from work, according to local journalists.

Officers confronted the journalist over his program earlier that day, which discussed harassment of the local population by security forces, reporters said.

He was released without charge after three days of detention upon the intervention of local and U.N. authorities.
