Luis Rojas, a prominent reporter for La Uníon de Morelos, was found strangled to death on July 13. He was the second journalist from the paper killed in less than a week. The coroner reported that he had probably been killed two days earlier.Motive Unconfirmed: CPJ is investigating to determine whether the death was work-related.
