Kamanayo, a journalist with the opposition paper Kiberinka, was killed at his home in Mumena, Kigali, by members of a militia. In 1992, Kamanayo and three colleagues temporarily went into hiding after the government harassed them.Motive Unconfirmed: CPJ is investigating to determine whether the death was work-related.
