Rajnath, the New Delhi correspondent for the online South Asian Tribune, was harassed and threatened by Indian government agents, according to the news site. In a report released on July 27, the Tribune detailed a series of intimidating phone calls and e-mails Rajnath said he had received over the prior two months. The caller, identified as an Indian intelligence agent, offered Rajnath kickbacks in return for publishing articles unfavorable to India’s neighboring countries, the Tribune said. The news site said Rajnath rejected the offers.
